Ajit Meena left his home on Tuesday evening, telling his parents he was going to the e-mitra centre. When he did not return, his worried parents lodged a complaint at the local police station. Hours later, they received the devastating news that a body had been found on the railway tracks.
Sohan Lal, the police station in-charge, confirmed that the body was discovered near a railway overbridge on the Agra-Jaipur highway and was identified as Ajit. The young man had taken the NEET exam for the third time and was devastated to learn he had failed again, leading to his tragic decision, according to officials.
Ajit’s death highlights the immense pressure faced by students preparing for competitive exams in India. The incident has sparked discussions on the need for better mental health support for students.
