Rajasthan News: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced a significant increase in the farmer support fund, raising it by ₹2,000, fulfilling a key promise made by his government. This announcement was made during the Chief Minister’s participation in the Vrisharopan Mahabhiyan program in Sapotra, Karauli district, on August 7, 2024.
Enhanced Support for Farmers
The Chief Minister highlighted that, in addition to the ₹6,000 provided to farmers under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the Rajasthan government has further augmented this support with an additional ₹2,000. This increase is aimed at bolstering the financial assistance provided to farmers across the state.
Increase in Minimum Support Price
CM Sharma also announced an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat, ensuring that farmers receive better compensation for their crops. This step is part of the government’s broader initiative to enhance the welfare of farmers and ensure their financial stability.

Speaking at the event, CM Sharma reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural community and ensuring that the promises made to farmers are fulfilled.
