As per the finance department’s order, pensioners who retired on June 30 and missed the benefit of pay increment from July 1 will now receive notional benefits from July 1, 2006, to April 10, 2023. From April 11, 2023, onwards, they will receive these benefits in cash.

HRA Benefits for Employees

In another order, the finance department clarified that employees on leave for up to 120 days will be entitled to HRA. Additionally, maternity leave will qualify for HRA for up to 180 days. Employees on leave for serious illnesses such as cancer, leprosy, tuberculosis, or mental illness will be eligible for HRA for up to 240 days.
