Rajasthan News: The Rajasthan government has announced plans to construct 12 new bypasses across nine cities in the state, as part of an initiative to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. This move follows the budget announcement, with the Public Works Department (PWD) recently granting financial approval for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for these bypasses. The DPRs are expected to cost approximately ₹5.95 crore.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari highlighted that the bypasses are being proposed to provide quick and efficient transportation facilities to the public in major cities of Rajasthan. The work on preparing the DPRs will commence shortly, ensuring timely execution of the budgetary announcement. The construction of these bypasses is expected to alleviate traffic jams and provide smoother travel for commuters.
Additionally, the Rajasthan government has also announced the development of nine new Greenfield Expressways in the state as part of the budget. The DPRs for these expressways, which will cover a total length of approximately 2,756 kilometers, will be prepared soon.

- Bharatpur: Bypass from Tyoga to Ludhwai Toll via Murawara, Bhandor
- Bharatpur: Bypass from Ludhwai Toll to Tuhia via Murawara, Bhandor
- Sikar: Bypass from NH-52 Ramu Ka Bas to NH-08 Kundli
- Hanumangarh: Bypass from Hanumangarh-Suratgarh Road to Hanumangarh Sangaria Road
- Dholpur: Bypass from NH-123 to NH-11B Dholpur
- Dholpur: Bypass from NH-44 to NH-2A Dholpur
- Sawai Madhopur: Bypass from Soorwal to Kustla Sawai Madhopur
- Churu: Ring Road via Taranagar Road, Baleri Road, Ratangarh Road, Depalsar Road to NH-52 Churu
- Jhunjhunu: Bypass from Mandawa-Jhunjhunu Road to Sikar-Jhunjhunu Road NH-11 to NH-08 Jhunjhunu
- Jhunjhunu: Bypass from Sikar-Jhunjhunu Road to Jhunjhunu Udaipurwati Road to Jhunjhunu-Chidawa Road-Jhunjhunu
- Karauli: Bypass from Mandrayal-Karauli-Hindaun-Manwa (NH 01) (Hindaun City) Karauli
- Sujangarh (Churu): Bypass from NH-58 to Mega Highway (Sujangarh) Churu
These infrastructure projects reflect the Rajasthan government’s commitment to enhancing transportation facilities and boosting the state’s overall development.
