Rajasthan News: Rajasthan Police Seize Illegal Materials Worth Rs 350 Crore During Model Code of Conduct Period

During the one-month period of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), the Rajasthan police have conducted a successful operation resulting in the seizure of illegal materials valued at Rs 350 crore. The State Police Nodal Officer, IG Vikas Kumar, highlighted a remarkable 550% increase in the seizure of illegal items such as cash, freebies, and liquor during this period.

Record-breaking 550% Increase in Seizures; Operation Jackpot Launched

IG Vikas Kumar mentioned that Jodhpur police secured the top position, seizing items worth over Rs 20 crore, followed by Bundi and Jaipur in the second and third spots, respectively. Kumar explained that a statistical model was created to allocate targets to different districts based on sensitivity and other parameters.

To further intensify the crackdown on illegal activities, the police have launched two new operations named Jackpot and Nakassi. Operation Jackpot, a 10-day mission, is focused on tracking down significant catches. It is divided into two categories: items valued at Rs 30 lakh or above and seizures amounting to Rs 75 lakh or higher. Kumar instructed district police officials to utilize technical and human resources effectively to ensure the success of Operation Jackpot.
