Rajasthan News: SOG Raids Locations in Rajasthan for Junior Engineer Exam Paper Leak

Rajasthan News: The Special Operations Group (SOG) carried out raids at several locations in Bharatpur, Jaipur, and Dausa districts in Rajasthan related to the alleged paper leak of the Junior Engineer (JEN) recruitment exam. The SOG targeted 12 locations on Thursday, searching for evidence against the accused. The operation comes after the success of a pilot project in Ludhiana and Patiala, where the paper leak issue was initially identified and later expanded to cover six more districts.

Key Arrests and Escaped Accused

During the press conference on Friday, SOG’s ADG V.K. Singh revealed that 12 locations were raided, leading to the arrest of Jagdish Jyani and Harshvardhan. However, another accused, Rajendra Kumar Yadav, managed to escape, leaving the country to evade arrest. The extensive crackdown uncovered substantial assets belonging to Harshvardhan and Rajendra Kumar Yadav.

Exam Paper Leak Unveiled

Harshvardhan, during interrogations, unfolded the entire narrative of the paper leak that occurred on December 6, 2020. He described how Rajendra Kumar Yadav, with the help of an accomplice, entered the school’s storage room, meticulously extracted the question paper from an envelope, took a photo of it, and sent it to Patwari Harsh via WhatsApp. In return, Harsh received INR 50 lakhs. After the task was completed, Yadav discreetly returned the paper to its original place in the envelope in the storage room.
