Rajasthan News: Rajasthan is witnessing a rapid surge in COVID-19 cases, with the number of patients crossing 60. Udaipur is emerging as a hotspot, reporting the highest number of cases in the state. Currently, Udaipur has 35 confirmed COVID-19 cases, followed by Jaipur with 19. The Health Department reported that 255 samples were collected on Monday, resulting in seven positive cases, including five in Udaipur, one in Jaipur, and one in Bikaner.
Alarming Increase in Respiratory Issues:
Apart from COVID-19, there has been a substantial increase in patients experiencing persistent coughs and colds. Notably, a small proportion of these cases are testing positive for COVID-19. Earlier, respiratory symptoms typically subsided within 3 to 5 days, but now, some patients are experiencing symptoms for 15 to 20 days. Doctors attribute this prolonged duration to conditions such as post-viral bronchitis or influenza virus complications.
Mehati Yojna to Address Road Woes:
In response to the deteriorating condition of roads, the state government plans to launch the “Mehati Yojna,” a mobile app initiative. This app will allow citizens to capture images of road damages, which will be forwarded to district officials for prompt repairs. The initiative aims to enhance citizen engagement and ensure accountability in road maintenance activities.
The simultaneous increase in COVID-19 cases and respiratory issues has heightened concerns among health authorities and the public in Rajasthan.
