Rajasthan Weather Update: The monsoon has been active in Rajasthan for the past few days, leading to heavy rainfall in several districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the districts of Dausa, Alwar, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, and Nagaur, while a yellow alert has been issued for Jaipur, Tonk, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Sikar, Bundi, Dholpur, Baran, and 20 other districts.

Weather Forecast for the Coming Days

The monsoon is expected to remain active in several parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next three days, with moderate rainfall in most areas and heavy downpours in some regions. Over the next 48 hours, districts in the Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, parts of western Rajasthan are also likely to see moderate to heavy rainfall in the next two to three days. From September 9 in western Rajasthan and September 10 in eastern Rajasthan, a significant reduction in heavy rain activity is expected.

Recent Rainfall in Rajasthan

In the past 24 hours, most parts of eastern Rajasthan and some parts of western Rajasthan experienced rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. Extremely heavy rainfall was recorded in the districts of Ajmer, Dausa, Banswara, and Rajsamand in eastern Rajasthan, while heavy rainfall was observed in Jaipur, Tonk, Dausa, Ajmer, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Nagaur, Banswara, and Pratapgarh.

The highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was recorded in Lohariya, Banswara, at 169 mm, while Raipur in Pali, western Rajasthan, recorded 102 mm of rainfall.

The weather department advises residents in the affected areas to stay alert and take necessary precautions due to the ongoing heavy rainfall and potential for localized flooding.
