Rajasthan Weather Update: On Friday, the state experienced heavy rain for the second straight day. The Ajmer, Udaipur, and Kota divisions may experience significant rainfall in various locations during the next few days, according to the Met office.
However, light to moderate showers will continue in western Rajasthan, including the divisions of Bikaner and Jodhpur. According to the met reports, Pratapgarh and Neem ka Thana both saw rainfall totals of 70mm.
The Met Office said that for the next five days, heavy rain is predicted to fall in Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, and certain areas of the Jaipur divisions, attributing the resumption of the monsoon to active cyclonic circulation. The divisions in Bikaner and Jodhpur should expect showers.
Revival of Southwest monsoon
“The revival of Southwest monsoon from Thursday evening will continue to bring moderate to heavy showers at Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer and some parts of Jaipur divisions for the next five days.
In Jaipur, people woke to drizzle, and Thursday night’s rain delivered a welcome shift in the weather. Rainfall in and around Jaipur ranged from 40mm to 30mm in the afternoon. A high of 34.5 degrees Celsius was registered in the city in the afternoon.
