Rajasthan News: For certain areas of Rajasthan, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave advisory. This caution alerts the possibility of severe weather conditions and sharply increasing temperatures in the upcoming days.
Rising Temperatures Anticipated
The majority of Rajasthan is currently experiencing average temperatures that are higher than 40°C. At 42.2°C, Phalodi has registered the greatest temperature as of now. Over the next 48 hours, the IMD predicts a further 2-4 degree rise in temperature.
Heatwave Warning in Effect
There’s a chance that certain parts of Rajasthan will get hit by a heatwave, with highs of 44–45°C. These areas are under a yellow alert from the IMD, which is in force from May 7 to May 10.
Precautions Necessary During Loo
An additional possibility brought on by the rising temperatures is loo, a powerful, hot, dry wind that might be harmful to one’s health. In such circumstances, it is recommended to adopt the appropriate safety measures.
Potential for Light Rain
On May 10 and 11, there’s a chance of some light rain in some areas of Rajasthan, which would provide a brief break from the heat.
