Rajasthan Weather Update: The Hadoti region has been witnessing significant rainfall over the past two days, bringing much-needed relief to residents. On Friday, Kota city experienced a day of humid and oppressive heat, followed by an hour of heavy rain in the evening. This downpour provided respite from the sweltering conditions.
The morning in Kota was marked by intense heat, with intermittent spells of sunshine and clouds. Scattered rain showers occurred in some parts during the afternoon. While the new Kota area remained dry, the old Kota city, including areas like Thegada, Borkheda, Nayapura, and the station region, experienced light rain. However, the weather cleared up quickly, leading to a humid environment that left people sweating. At around 5 PM, dark clouds gathered, and a heavy downpour ensued, accompanied by strong winds.
During the rain, there were also instances of lightning and thunder. The streets saw water flow, and several low-lying areas experienced waterlogging. After the rain, residents ventured out to enjoy the pleasant weather at various tourist spots. According to the meteorological department, by 5:30 PM, Kota had recorded 4 mm of rain, with a total of 17.6 mm over the past 24 hours. Other areas in the Kota district, such as Sangod, Suket, and Satalkhedi, also received rainfall.
Heavy Rain in Bundi
Bundi district witnessed heavy rainfall on Friday night. In Bundi city, the rain started around 11 PM and continued intermittently, leading to water accumulation on the streets. The clogged drains in the Police Line area resulted in water spilling onto the roads. The Bahadur Singh Circle also faced waterlogging, causing inconvenience to the public. By Saturday morning, Bundi had recorded 81 mm of rain, Hindoli 70 mm, Nainwa 5 mm, K.Patan 61 mm, Talera 61 mm, and Indergarh 8 mm. The weather remained clear throughout Saturday, with occasional cloud cover.
Clouds Continue to Shower in Jhalawar
In Jhalawar district, the clouds have been pouring down for the past two days. Following a good spell of rain on Friday, Saturday also saw substantial rainfall. The evening witnessed strong winds accompanied by rain in the city and various other places. The rain not only provided relief from the heat and humidity but also benefitted the crops. The maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C, while the minimum was 27°C. Khanpur experienced heavy rain with strong winds in the evening, lasting for about half an hour, followed by intermittent showers. The Panwad town and surrounding villages saw heavy rain after 6:15 PM. Earlier, there were light showers at around 5 AM and 1 PM. The Choumahalla region also received good rainfall.

In Baran district, there has been a lack of substantial rainfall for the past week. Clouds and overcast conditions have been frequent, but they usually pass without raining. On Saturday, the maximum temperature reached 32°C, with a minimum of 27°C. The ongoing heat and humidity have been a cause of discomfort for the residents. Despite the lack of rain, this weather is considered favorable for farming and crops.
