Rajasthan Weather Update— Monday morning brought a refreshing change to several districts across Rajasthan, including the capital, Jaipur, as rainfall began early in the day. Drizzle commenced in various parts of Jaipur around 8:30 AM and has continued since. In Bandikui (Dausa), rain started around 6:15 AM, while Bansur (Alwar) saw showers beginning at approximately 4:15 AM. In Dungarpur, a steady drizzle has been ongoing since 4:00 AM. This rainfall has brought a pleasant change to the weather.
Monsoon Status in Rajasthan
Despite the timely arrival of the monsoon in Rajasthan, the state has not met its expected rainfall quota for June. During the combined monsoon and pre-monsoon period, Rajasthan typically receives an average of 55 mm of rain over the 30 days of June. This year, rainfall has been 9 percent below average. There are still three districts in the state where the monsoon has yet to arrive.
Heavy Rainfall Warning
The weather department has issued a heavy rainfall warning for several districts in eastern Rajasthan. On Monday, districts such as Bharatpur, Alwar, Dholpur, and Dausa are on alert for very heavy rainfall.
