Rajasthan Weather Update— Although pre-monsoon rains have brought some respite from the heat in Rajasthan, several areas continue to experience persistent heatwave conditions. The intense heat has left people struggling to cope with the soaring temperatures. On Monday, cities including Jaipur, Bharatpur, Karauli, Udaipur, Dausa, and Dholpur experienced significant heat.
Pre-Monsoon Rains Bring Relief to Rajasthan, but Heatwave Persists in Many Areas
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Sri Ganganagar recorded the highest temperature in Rajasthan over the past 24 hours, reaching 46.2 degrees Celsius. On Monday, heatwave conditions were prevalent throughout the day in Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Dausa, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Jaipur, causing considerable discomfort to residents.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, pre-monsoon rains are set to commence in Rajasthan from Wednesday, June 19. Cities such as Bharatpur, Dholpur, Kota, Baran, Karauli, Alwar, Dausa, and Jhalawar are likely to experience heavy monsoon rains starting June 19.
The Jaipur Meteorological Center has predicted widespread heavy rainfall across the Marudhara region from June 19 to June 23. A yellow alert has been issued for potential heavy rains in the districts of Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Bikaner divisions, as well as their surrounding areas. The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms, lightning, and dust storms in these regions.
As the pre-monsoon season begins, residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during extreme weather conditions.
