Big news has come out from Pokaran field firing range in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. There were three misfires here. The accident happened when the trial was going on on Friday. During this, all the three missiles deviated from the range and fell into the fields with loud explosions.
Jailsmer is a district situated on the India-Pakistan border. Three missile misfires together increased the concern of military officers. It is also a matter of concern that two out of three missiles have been found stuck in the sand in the fields while one missile is being searched.
Three missiles were misfired during a firing exercise by the Indian Army
In the news till Rajasthan, it has been informed by quoting high official sources that trials of Surface to Air Missile were being conducted by the Indian Army at the Pokaran field firing range in Jaisalmer. Three missiles misfired on Friday.
It is being told that three ground-to-air missiles lost their way due to a technical flaw. Dummy did not hit the target and went out of range and went to different villages of Jaisalmer district. Two missiles were found in the fields. Still a search is on.
The trial of the missile was being done by the Indian Army to strengthen its firepower. These missiles with a range of about 10 to 25 kilometers were fired from three user trials firing ranges from the launching pad in the presence of Indian experts. All three routes went astray due to technical glitches.
Talking to the media, Nachana DSP Kailash Bishnoi of Jaisalmer district has confirmed the missile misfire from Pokhran firing range. One missile was found in the field of Shishupal Singh of Ajasar village of Jaisalmer and the other missile was found in the field of Vikram Singh.
