Ranchi News: Wipro’s Azim Premji’s Foundation is all set to open its 3rd University in Jharkhand. Bought on budget of around 1400 crore Rupees, the land has been acquired on a lease of 99 lakh rupees in Itki. The University will be constructed in around 146 acres of land. The state government has given the land of Tuberclosis Sanitorium at Itki. The Foundation has given 80% land to the Government for this purpose. However the proposal waited for the Governor’s nod.

The Foundation is also likely to set up an IIT Park

After the approval from the Governor the law department will issue the notification. The Itki sanitorium acquires about 300 acres of land. This land belongs to the Health Department. The proposal of giving 146 acres of land to the Azim Premji’s Foundation has been approved. The Azim Premji Foundation is also thinking of setting up IIT park in Jharkhand.

First University was open in the year 2010 in Bengaluru

The Foundation is likely to spent around 3000 crore rupees for this project. Azim Premji’s first University was open in the year 2010 in Bengaluru. Another University has been opened in Bhopal and the third one is being in Ranchi. It is being said that the 4th university will be open in North East. Wipro chief spoke to the Jharkhand CM on the issue.
