Ranchi News: An expressway will be built from Ormanjhi to Jainamoda as part of the Bharatmala Project, traversing 14 Ranchi villages. A payment of Rs 100 crore has already been disbursed to the landowners out of the total amount of Rs 148 crore, with instructions to promptly settle the outstanding balance.
Deputy Commissioner assesses the land
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha conducted a thorough assessment of the National Highway 23 (Gumla Palama Project) and instructed the people who are causing disruptions to engage with them and collaborate with the Project Director to address any issues. He also spoke on settling the remaining Rs 16 crore for this project by the end of the month and promptly declaring the price for the acquisition of 205.08 acres of land, which includes a total of 99 plots with structures.
Furthermore, the District Land Acquisition Officer and the Executive Engineer of Road Construction were tasked with engaging with affected tenants and expediting all necessary procedures to facilitate the construction of the new road for Jharkhand Central University in Cherry-Manatu.
Additionally, he urged that any law and order issues or hindrances encountered during the project should be immediately reported to the Executive Engineer of Road Construction and the District Land Acquisition Officer for resolution through effective coordination.
Regarding the Sirmatoli flyover project, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Land Acquisition Officer to ensure the prompt processing of all 07 compensation payment applications for a total of 2.302 acres of land required for the elevated corridor project from Sirmatoli Chowk to Rajendra Chowk.
Ranchi to be traffic-free soon
During the evaluation of all the flyovers in Ranchi city, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha inspected their current condition and emphasised to the relevant officials that ensuring a traffic-jam-free Ranchi city is a crucial collective responsibility. He stressed the importance of working diligently to eliminate traffic congestion entirely in Ranchi.
