Ranchi News: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has announced a number of free services around the city for the next election day in an effort to increase voter participation and guarantee the convenience of citizens. Free bus trips, free use of public restrooms, free admission to local parks, and free parking are some examples of these gratuitous services.
Free Transportation and Amenities for Voters
By offering free transport, RMC makes sure that citizens can get to the polls without having to pay for it. Free park passes provide a fun activity for families to do after voting, and free use of public restrooms guarantees voters’ comfort all day.
Voters must show an indelible ink mark on their finger after casting their ballot in order to use these services. This mark will allow people to ride city buses without a ticket by acting as both identification and evidence of voting. Every voter in the city is eligible to use this service.
Free Parking Across Key Locations
More than 25 free parking spots are available for voters to use across the city, including well-known areas like MG Road, Karke Road, Upper Bazaar, Albert Ekka Chowk, Kachari Road, and Circular Road.
Additional Discounts from Local Businesses
On election day, the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FJCCI) is providing discounts in support of the RMC’s activities. These discounts, which run from 5% to 15%, are valid for a number of industries, including medical supplies, apparel, hotels, malls, candy stores, electronics, and jewellery.
