Green Signal for Silli-Ilu Bypass Rail Line to Save Time and Resources

Currently, trains traveling from Ranchi to Howrah via Tata have to pass through Muri, where they need to reverse engines, a process that consumes time. The construction of the bypass line will eliminate the need for this detour, effectively reducing the distance traveled.

The demand for the Silli-Ilu rail line had been a longstanding request from the local community. MP Sanjay Seth played a pivotal role by initiating the proposal and writing a letter to the Union Railway Minister advocating for the construction of a six-kilometer bypass line. The Ranchi Railway Board also submitted a proposal to the Railway Board, which has now been approved.

The budget allocated for this project is approximately Rs 125 crore, ensuring that the construction work can proceed smoothly. The Silli-Ilu Rail Line is poised to benefit both passengers and the railways by saving time and resources. MP Seth expressed his gratitude to Railway Minister Shri Vaishnav for this development.
