Ranchi News: Late on Saturday night, Rajdhani Traffic Police started a campaign to check drivers who drink and drive. A campaign to prevent drunk driving was carried out during this time near Chandni, Birsa, Munda, and Lalpur Chowks. Six drivers have been caught driving while intoxicated, and additional action is being taken by filing charges against them in court.

Anti-Drunk Driving Campaign

A campaign to check for drunk driving has been started, according to Traffic SP Kumar Gaurav’s statement on Sunday. Six people were found to have driven under the influence of alcohol during this time. Everybody is the target of action. He has urged everyone who drives to abstain from driving after consuming alcohol. The traffic police will confiscate the car and file a lawsuit in the event that they are discovered.

MV Act Imposes Rs 10000 Fine and Six-Month Jail Term

In addition, a first offence carries a Rs 10,000 fine and a six-month jail sentence under Section 185 of the MV Act. Following this, a two-year jail sentence and a fine of Rs. 15,000 are stipulated. In addition, there is a rule regarding driving licence suspension.
