Ranchi News: The Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to commence its operations on September 24th, just ahead of the Dussehra festival. The Railway Ministry has communicated this directive to the South Eastern Railway Headquarters, prompting preparations to kick off in the Ranchi Railway Division. Also, this marks the debut of a Vande Bharat train in the Ranchi Railway Division, with the responsibility for its maintenance entrusted to the same division.

This train will operate between Ranchi and Howrah in both directions. There are expectations that the train’s inauguration will take place at Ranchi station, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav conducting the ceremony online. The Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will consist of eight coaches.

In a related development, Ranchi’s Member of Parliament, Sanjay Seth, held a meeting with the Railway Minister after a special session of Parliament on Tuesday. During this meeting, the Minister informed the MP that he will soon present Ranchi with another Vande Bharat Express as a second gift. Furthermore, the Railway Minister is scheduled to visit Ranchi in the near future to assess the progress of railway projects within the Ranchi Railway Division and the state of Jharkhand.

Railway sources are currently engaged in discussions regarding the operation of the Vande Bharat Express on two potential routes. These discussions are focused on determining the expected passenger demand and revenue generation for the Railways. The first proposed route would take the train through Ranchi-Muri-Jhalda-Purulia-Tatanagar-Ghatshila-Jhargram and Kharagpur. The second option is to run the train via Ranchi-Muri-Bokaro and Dhanbad routes.

Timings of the Ranchi Howrah Vande Bharat

It is under consideration that this train would depart from Ranchi at 5:20 am and arrive in Howrah at 11:55 am, while the return journey from Howrah would start at 3:30 pm and end in Ranchi at 10:10 pm. It’s important to note that no official confirmation has been provided regarding the operation schedule and timetable of the train. Although a specific date has not been determined, it is assured that this train will be operational in the near future, as stated by Jasmeet Singh Bindra, DRM of the Ranchi Railway Division.
