Rape Case: DCW Chief Swati Maliwal writes to Amit Shah; demands to meet minor girl or family

Rape Case: In a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, DCW chief Swati Maliwal addressed the allegations of a Delhi government officer who is accused of raping a minor girl. Maliwal requested in the letter that she be given a chance to meet the girl and her family, according to news agency ANI.

She also insisted that the girl receive proper medical care at AIIMS or that a team from AIIMS see her, and that an investigation be carried out into why Delhi Police was delaying the accused government official’s arrest.

The DCW Chief has been seated on on dharna at St. Stephen’s Hospital since Monday, where the minor girl who was reportedly sexually assaulted by a Delhi government official is being treated. Maliwal said she was kept away from meeting the girl.
