Security Agencies in India are suspecting that Khalistani radical preacher and Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh is getting massive funding from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) which are propping and promoting him a Bhindranwale 2.0 on the Social Media Platforms. Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was a proponent of separate Sikh nation of Khalistan and was killed by the Army during Operation Bluestar in 1984.
Security Agency suspect Amritpal Sigh being propped and funded by ISI
Information pertaining to Amritpal Singh has been shared by security agencies, after clashes broke out between supporters of Amritpal Singh and Punjab Police in Ajnala over the arrest of his aide Lovenpreet Singh Toofan. Supporters of Toofan armed with swords and guns broke through police barricades and stormed Ajnala police. Police have also stated that the demonstrators also used Guru Granth Sahib as a shield.
Lovepreet Singh was released after Punjab Police conducted talks with Waris Punjab De leader Amritpal Singh and his followers.
Opposition Parties slam Punjab Government
Leading opposition parties and religious groups such as Congress and Damdami Taksal in the state have strongly condemned the Punjab Government kowtowing and surrendering in front of radicals and have slammed it for not taking any action against Amritpal Singh in the Ajnala incident.
In the meantime , the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has formed a committee to look into the Ajnala incident in which Guru Granth Sahib was taken to Ajnala police station.
ISI fishing in Punjab’s muddy waters to revive terrorism
Intelligence alerts have surfaced that point fingers towards Pakistan’s ISI for destabilizing law and order situation in Punjab. Further it has confirmed that ISI-backed Khalistani terror groups are trying to revive terrorism and spread communal harmony in Punjab.
Punjab Police has also stepped up vigil on the Punjab-Jammu border, which could be used by the ISI to send arms, ammunition and explosives to Punjab.
