UP News: Around 21 Government Schools running under the Baisc Shiksha Adhikari are facing the threat from a High Tension Power line running in their school campus in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district. The information was revealed by the officers of the Basic Shiksha Adhikari . The officers also mentioned that around 1500 students study in these schools.
‘Students life at risk, issue should be resolved soon’
According to the officials, the Government schools were built much before the installation of the High Power lines which raises serious questions about the safety of the children studying in these schools. Like currently is rainy season and the school children were seen playing the school ground with the high power wires on their heads. On the schools teachers also shared an incident around 2015 when a high tension wire fell on the Play ground. Fortunately the children and the staff were at a safe distance from the ground.
DM:We have initiated probe, this will be fixed soon
The situation is the same in the other 21 Government run schools of Agadipur, Banipur, Madlapur, Alaundipur, Patni Partapur etc. The District Officer of Shamli said this issue has been brought up a lot of times during our meetings, we have initiated a probe and ensure this issue should be resolved soon.
