When the accused was shown CCTV footage, he allegedly said, “I am the man on the video. I murdered Sakshi.” For the previous two years, Sakshi and Sahil had followed and known one other on Instagram.
Shocking Details of Vicious Attack Emerge
The 16-year-old victim received 21 stabbings. The assault was so vicious that at one point the murder instrument, a knife, got caught in her head. A short while later, the murderer picked up a boulder that was nearby and began hitting the victim. Nobody attempted to stop the assault or intervene as he hit her with the boulder five times while it was being passed by onlookers.

Police Reveal Disturbing Details of 16-Year-Old Girl’s Savage Murder
According to police authorities involved in the investigation, the savage assassination of a 16-year-old girl in north-west Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy on Sunday was planned over three days and was precipitated by a verbal altercation between the accused, Sahil, and the dead last Thursday. This claim suggests that, contrary to what the officers had previously believed, this was a premeditated murder rather than a “act of passion.” The 20-year-old who had been stalking the girl allegedly waited outside the alley where one of the girl’s friends lived on Sunday afternoon, according to the police. He eventually approached her as she exited a public lavatory, stabbed her repeatedly, and then beat her body with a stone slab while onlookers did nothing to stop him.
Suspect’s Actions and Missing Murder Weapon Raise Concerns
After the murder, according to Sahil’s account to the police, he walked to the Rithala Metro station, where he dumped the knife, took the Metro to Anand Vihar, and then went to his aunt’s house in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, he was ultimately taken there and arrested. He was sentenced to two days in police remand on Tuesday by a Delhi court. Although they have taken Sahil’s phone and the reportedly bloodstained clothes he was wearing at the time of the incident, police have not yet located the knife that was used in the murder. In order to determine whether Sahil and the girl spoke in the days before the murder, police also viewed their chat histories.
