A tragic incident involving the murder of a four-year-old boy at a service apartment in Candolim, Goa, took a peculiar turn when an accident-induced traffic jam near the Goa border facilitated the police in apprehending the accused woman from Bengaluru.
The woman, identified as Suchana Seth, allegedly killed her son and concealed the body in a bag, citing a custody dispute with her estranged husband. The police, acting swiftly, arrested Ms. Seth in Chitradurga, Karnataka, on the same day she committed the crime and subsequently brought her back to Goa for further investigation.
Accident-Induced Delay Proves Instrumental in Tracing Fleeing Culprit
The fortuitous traffic jam at Chorla Ghat, situated at the confluence of the borders of Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, proved to be a crucial element in the police’s efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect. Sources suggest that the delay caused by the accident allowed authorities to intercept the accused before she could reach Bengaluru.
Suchana Seth had allegedly sent a WhatsApp message to her estranged husband, Venkat Raman, granting him visitation rights to meet their child. This communication took place just days before the unfortunate incident unfolded, shedding light on the complex dynamics within the separated couple.
The divorce documents reveal a history of domestic violence allegations made by Ms. Seth against Mr. Raman, leading to a restraining order against him. Despite the court-mandated visitation rights, tensions reportedly escalated, ultimately resulting in the tragic incident.
