All types of milk will be subject to the new pricing, which have already gone into effect, and will see an increase of Rs 2 to Rs 3 per litre.

In order to compensate milk producers more fairly, Bihar State Milk Cooperative Federation Limited (Comfed), which sells milk and dairy products under the Sudha brand, increased milk prices.

Notably, Comfed already hiked rates for Sudha milk in Bihar in October 2022, making this the second time in the preceding six months that prices had gone up.

Sudha milk new rate

According to Comfed officials, the price of milk has increased as a result of a rise in retailers’ margin from Rs 1.75 per litre to Rs 1.95 per litre.

Following the most recent change, the cost of Sudha full cream milk would increase to Rs 62 from Rs 59, while the price of toned milk will decrease to Rs 49 per litre. Cow milk from Sudha will now cost Rs 52 per litre.

Sudha milk’s price has been steadily rising over the past several years, putting a heavy financial burden on customers.

On October 10, 2022, Comfed raised milk prices for the last time.
