Ten Individuals Convicted By Jharkhand Court in 2019 Tabrez Ansari Lynching Case

Jharkhand Court: Ten people were found guilty on Tuesday by a local court in the Seraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand in relation to the 2019 Tabrez Ansari lynching case. Public prosecutor Ashok Kumar Rai stated that the severity of the punishment will be revealed on July 5. According to him, Kushal Mahali, one of the defendants, passed away during the course of the trial, while two others were exonerated due to a lack of evidence.

Names of Accused in Tabrez Ansari Lynching Case

Bhim Singh Munda, Kamal Mahato, Madan Nayak, Atul Mahali, Sunamo Pradhan, Vikram Mandal, Chamu Nayak, Prem Chand Mahali, and Mahesh Mahali were among the individuals found guilty by the court of Additional District Judge-I Amit Shekhar and were promptly arrested. Prakash Mandal, also known as Pappu Mandal, is the main suspect and is already in custody.

Remembering the Lynching of Tabrez Ansari in Dhatkidih Village

On June 17, 2019, Ansari was lynched in Dhatkidih village under Seraikela police station after being attacked with iron rods for supposed stealing. Ansari, a labourer and welder in Pune, was slain on suspicion of trying to steal a motorbike while returning home to celebrate Eid.
