In his tweet, Bhagat pointed out that while the controversy over the alleged use of animal fat in the Tirupati laddu prasadam has ignited strong reactions, there are other significant issues that demand the same level of public attention. He stated, “Air pollution. Potholes. Not enough college seats. Paper leaks. Poor healthcare. Please enrage on all these as much as alleged Prasad contamination at a particular temple.”
White Sugar and the Animal Bone Process
In a surprising addition to his message, Bhagat also remarked on the widespread consumption of white sugar, stating, “Btw white sugar is made white with a process involving charred animal bones. Goes in most sweet items.”
