The new move aims to bridge the gap between public and Police. While launching the app, the Punjab Chief Minister said that it is a major citizen centric initiative of the Ludhiana Traffic Police.
App for all
The app will be available for download on any app store. Users can log in just using their email id or phone number. The app comes with a variety of features; users can report traffic violations by providing relevant videos and proof according to the type of violation. The Punjab CM said that the application will automatically send the GPS coordinates of the users on the clicked picture, making it easier for the authorities to track their location. Users will also be able to see all events such as roadblocks due to processions, protest, construction, traffic jam and others.
App to show traffic offences
Unveiling the app, the Punjab Chief Minister said that the app will also be instrumental in tracking traffic offences to make users aware of the violations and corresponding fines. To educate users, various road safety signs have also been explained in the app, she said. The users will also be able to send a quick appreciation or gratitude message if they were happy with the services of any staff of the traffic police.
