Dhanbad News: In the Dhanbad area of Jharkhand, a coal mine collapsed on Friday, killing up to three people—including a kid. Rescue efforts are in progress to save the numerous victims who are suspected to be trapped in the debris.

The roof of the mine collapsed as hundreds of people entered the tunnel to retrieve coal. The neighbourhood residents gathered at the excavation site as soon as they learned of the situation and began saving those buried beneath the debris.
Illegal Mining Tragedy Strikes Jharkhand as Roof Collapse Claims Lives and Sparks Panic
At ATDev Prabha Outsourcing, illegal mining was being done when the top of the roof gave way and collapsed, causing the accident. Three individuals were killed in a stampede that followed the incident, which spread terror. Up to five victims of significant injuries were transported to a hospital for treatment. Teams from the police and CISF have begun their investigation.
