Ahmed Ali Biswas: In the early hours of Friday in West Bengal’s Nadia district, a Trinamool Congress politician was fatally shot. The victim, Ahmed Ali Biswas, was shot at by two bike-riding criminals as he entered a vegetable market in the Hanskhali district. Eyewitnesses report that following a heated argument between the deceased and the criminals, one of the criminals pulled a gun and opened fire on him at close range.
Murder investigation was started at the Hanskhali police station
Ahmed Ali Biswas, the TMC’s leader, was instantly shot and killed. Locals brought him to Bagula Gramin Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced him dead. Shortly after they were alerted, the police arrived at the crime scene and started an investigation. The postmortem of Ahmed Ali Biswas’ body was performed at the Shaktinagar district hospital. A murder investigation was started at the Hanskhali police station.

Debasish Ganguly commented on the unfortunate situation
Debasish Ganguly, district president of the TMC, commented on the unfortunate situation, saying, “I don’t believe he has been killed due to political antagonism, he could have been assassinated for personal enmity. The police are conducting an investigation, shortly the truth will surface. A West Bengal Police source indicated that an investigation was ongoing. We are looking for eyewitness accounts. Soon, police will detain the accused.
