TV actress Chahat Pandey Thursday joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying that it was the party’s ideologies that struck a chord with her. With the aim of the welfare of the people of her home state Madhya Pradesh, the actress has embarked on this new journey. She was welcomed into the party by Sandeep Pathak, who holds the charge of national general secretary (organisation).

TV actress Chahat Pandey has left politics to begin a new journey in politics. Sandeep Pathak, AAP’s national general secretary (organisation), warmly welcomes her into the party. “There is rampant corruption in Madhya Pradesh. BJP and Congress are no different and both have literally exploited the state to fulfil their own motive. People want to give a chance to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the state,” he said.
‘The people of Damoh look up to her’
The AAP Leader said that the people of Damoh look up to her, adding that she left a successful career in showbiz to present herself to the service of the state.
Chahat Pandey on joining AAP
Chahat, on Thursday, said that she has some duties towards the state and country, which she aims to fulfil by joining AAP. “I come from a small place, Damoh in Madhya Pradesh. No one knows Damoh. People say it is near Bhopal. I want them to know Damoh,” she said.
She further said that she aims to eradicate child labor and poverty in her home state. “I have not entered politics for name, fame, or money. I have left all these behind to enter politics,” she said.
