Zika Virus: On Monday, Pune reported the first two Zika virus cases of the year, including a doctor and his teenager daughter. Testing positive for the Zika virus is a 46-year-old Erandwane doctor and his 15-year-old daughter. While other family members have tested negative, the daughter is exhibiting moderate symptoms including a fever.

What is Zika Virus?

The Aedes aegypti mosquito, which also spreads dengue and chikungunya, is the source of the Zika virus, which can cause fever, rash, joint discomfort, and headaches.
