UP News: People Travelling from Lucknow to Bareilly will now have to pay extra as the authorities are planning to add one more Toll Plaza on the route. Passengers currently pay for the 3 Toll Plazas and once the forth one is ready, people will have to pay extra toll to cross through. The distance from Bareilly to Lucknow is around 256 kms and vehicle pay for the 3 Toll Plazas in this route. The revised rates at the Faridpur toll plaza will be effective from midnight. The hike has been announced by the National Highways Authority of India.

The Revised fares for cars and Vans are-

Revised Fares for Vehicles passing through this route are- For Cars and Vans, Rs 130 –Rs 195. Light Commercial vehicles- Rs 210 -310 Rs. Two axle trucks and buses – Rs 435-Rs 655. Axle Commercial Vehicles- Rs 475 –Rs 715. Six Axle vehicles, Rs 685-Rs 1025. Over sized vehicle, Rs 830 –Rs 1245.  Vehicles from Lucknow, Shahjahanpur and Sitapur will face the brunt of these revised fares.

NHAI hopes to earn More Revenue

National Highways Authority of India is hoping to earn more revenue with these revised fares. Currently Over Rs 30 lakhs toll tax is collected on an average, but with these revised fares, NHAI hopes to earn Rs 34 lakhs.
