UP News: According to officials, the headmaster of a government elementary school in the Visheshwarganj neighbourhood of Uttar Pradesh‘s Bahraich was suspended after allegedly being discovered intoxicated and sleeping naked in front of pupils. The headmaster, who has been identified as Durga Prasad Jaiswal, is purportedly seen engaging in the obscene conduct in a claimed video that allegedly depicts the occurrence. The authorities said it was too soon to determine whether the Viral video was authentic. Jaiswal is employed at the Shivpur Bairagi Primary School in the Bahraich neighbourhood of Lucknow, which is located 125 miles to the northeast.
Incensed Parents Accuse Headmaster of Ongoing Lewd Behavior
However, a number of incensed parents asserted that Jaiswal had allegedly done this before. His parents alleged that he frequently engaged in lewd behaviour in front of the children and that he would undress and take a nap during class, according to news agency PTI. Parents have also claimed that as a result of Jaiswal’s actions, female kids no longer attend the school. As soon as the issue was discovered, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) launched an investigation, following which the headmaster was suspended.
Headmaster Suspended Pending Departmental Inquiry
“We got a complaint against Durga Prasad Jaiswal…He was suspended on July 24 on the basis of a preliminary inquiry conducted by the block education officer,” BSA Avyakt Ram Tiwari said. “A departmental inquiry is being conducted. If necessary, a First Information Report will also be lodged against the headmaster,” the BSA said. According to a police official, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident; that possibility will only materialise when a FIR is filed. In response, he stated that a FIR would be filed based on the findings of the departmental investigation.
