UP Weather Update: Continuous Downpour in the city shaken the normal life of people. According to the Met Department, 24 districts will witness heavy rains in the coming days. These are Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lucknow, Barabanki, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Basti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Mau, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Ballia, Kushinagar and Maharajganj. Residents of the 11 villages of Kanpur had to move from their villages to the Flood Relief camps as the water of the River Ganga entered inside their homes. As of now, more than 472% of the average rainfall has been recorded in the state. On the other side, continuous showers brought respite from the scorching heat and humidity.
LakhimPur Kheri records the Maximum Temperature
Lakhimpur Kheri recorded the maximum temperature (25 degrees) yesterday, while the lowest temperature was recorded in Kushinagar ( 19.3 degrees). However the Weather Department issued heavy rain warning and lightning for the 43 districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Due to the release of water from the Haridwar and Narora dam, the ganga River is flowing 3 meters above the danger mark.
Water Level at the Ghats have reached up to 15 Feet
Many people living in the Kutcha Houses were shifted to the Primary schools of the city. All the Ganga Ghats from Bithoor to Kanpur have been completely submerged. The water level has reached up to 15 feet at the ghat.
