Mobile phone addiction and family conflict contribute to tragic suicide of teenager
After the boy’s mobile phone stopped functioning properly, he asked his family to get it repaired, but they refused to do so. This caused him to become very angry, and he went to his room and hanged himself from the ceiling fan. When his family members discovered him, they immediately took him down and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors.
Lack of resources and support for youth struggling with addiction is a growing concern
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police for Greater Noida Saad Miyan Khan, the police have taken custody of the boy’s body and sent it for post-mortem. The investigation is still ongoing.
