Uttarakhand: At Kashipur in Uttarakhand‘s Udham Singh Nagar, a private bus carrying more than 40 workers lost control and overturned, killing one factory worker and injuring more than 24 others. Sources claim that the accident happened on Ramnagar Road on a Saturday morning while the bus was transporting employees from a nearby textile factory.
Locals Rescue Trapped Workers in the Aftermath of Bus Tragedy
They claimed that as the vehicle tipped upside down, pandemonium swept the region. Locals assisted in freeing the trapped workers off the bus and called the police. When the police arrived, they took the injured workers to a nearby public hospital and found the body of the worker who had passed away immediately. The dead has been identified as Shankar Prasad, a local of Goushala mod in Sainik Colony.
Authorities Launch Investigation and Extend Support to Victims After Kashipur Bus Accident
According to Dr. Khempal from CMS Government Hospital in Kashipur, police have opened an investigation and submitted the recovered body for a postmortem examination. The Kashipur Tehsildar also went to the scene of the tragedy and interacted with the victims.
