Uttarakhand News: Over 52 people have died and many were injured due to the heavy rains in the city. It has been rain continuously in the city for the last one week resulting in many land slides and cloud bursts. The city has suffered massive losses due to the heavy downpour. There has been a damage of over 650 crore Rupees due to the disaster caused by the heavy rains. Many residents have been missing due to rains, and the authorities have launched a man hunt to search for the missing people in the area.
NDRF, SDRF Teams on stand bye for Rescue Operations
The authorities have decided to make a detailed Report of the damages and losses caused due to the rains and sent it to the Central Government so that they can complete the relief work soon. The chief Minister has also given strict instructions to the NDRF and SDRF teams to be on stand by all the time in case of any serious calamity. However the teams are already working on the rain hit areas.
Five devotees killed in Land Slides
Five devotees also lost their lives after the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a land slide in Rudraprayag. Many roads have been blocked due to the land slides and authorities are working to clear the debris so that the traffic should not be halted.
