Uttarakhand Weather Update: On Saturday, the majority of the country enjoyed good weather after a prolonged period of rain. Sunshine and a daytime temperature of 28 degrees Celsius were present in most areas. Authorities, however, had a difficult time because 167 routes remained closed till Saturday.
Highest Route Closures Due to Damage in the District
With 34 damaged routes, Chamoli district had the highest number of closed roadways. 22 highways were stopped in Rudraprayag, 21 in Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Tehri, and Pauri, 20 in each of those cities, 10 in Uttarkashi, 8 in Nainital, 5 in Almora, 4 in Bageshwar, and 2 in Champawat, according to data from the State Emergency Operation Centre.
District Accounts for 20 of 88 Fatalities and 51 Injuries
Twenty of the 88 fatalities and 51 injuries caused by this monsoon in the Himalayan state were in the Rudraprayag district.
