Ashtha Special Train: In the aftermath of the consecration ceremony of Lord Ramlala’s idol in the Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya, devotees have been continuously making pilgrimages to Ayodhya. On Thursday, an ‘Astha Special’ train departed from Rishikesh to Ayodhya, carrying 1344 Ram devotees from the Dehradun and Pauri regions.

Devotees Embark on Special Train to Ayodhya from Rishikesh for Ram Mandir Darshan

The special train left Rishikesh station for Ayodhya Junction at 11:40 AM on Thursday. Mahendra Prasad Bhatt, the state president of the BJP, and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat flagged off the ‘Astha Special’ by displaying the green flag. Devotees, chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ enthusiastically embarked on the pilgrimage to Ayodhya.

Among those present at the station were MLA Doiwala Brijbhushan Gairoli, MLA Pauri Rajkumar Koli, outgoing Mayor Anita Mamgain, BJP district president Ravindra Rana, train coordinator Sitaram Bhatt, and district panchayat member Sanjeev Chauhan.
