The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will distribute appointment letters on Sunday at the Main Secretariat, addressing the critical shortage of nursing staff in government medical facilities.
Chief Minister Dhami to Hand Over Appointment Letters to 1376 Nursing Officers
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will personally hand over appointment letters to 200 selected nursing officers at the Main Secretariat on Sunday. This decision aims to bridge the gap in nursing positions and enhance healthcare services, especially in the remote areas of the state. The remaining selected candidates will receive their appointment letters in the allocated districts.
Uttarakhand’s Health Department Strengthens Human Resources with 1376 Nursing Officer Appointments
The Health Minister of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, revealed that the state government has taken significant steps to bolster healthcare services. Apart from improving infrastructure in government hospitals, the government has now appointed 1376 nursing officers based on annual merit through the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board. This strategic move follows the appointment of 1475 medical officers, 172 dental surgeons, 19 dental hygienists, 1081 ANMs, and 52 paramedical staff in the past five years.
Placement of Nursing Officers to Enhance Healthcare in Remote Areas
Health Minister Dr. Rawat emphasized that all selected nursing officers will be deployed in challenging and extremely remote healthcare centers in mountainous regions. This move aims to strengthen healthcare services in distant areas, ensuring better accessibility and improved medical facilities.
