Dehradun, the picturesque capital of Uttarakhand, is set to enhance its connectivity with three significant destinations in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab as flight operations to Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Amritsar have been approved by the Centre. These new flight services, aimed at bolstering regional connectivity, are scheduled to commence from Wednesday, 6th March, 2024.
Gratitude Expressed by Uttarakhand Chief Minister
Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressed his appreciation towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for approving the long-awaited flight operations. Dhami, who has been advocating for improved air connectivity to these destinations, conveyed his gratitude for fulfilling this crucial requirement.
Flight Schedule Details
On the inaugural day, a flight will depart from Dehradun at 9:40 am bound for Ayodhya, arriving at 11:30 am. The return flight from Ayodhya will take off at 12:15 pm and reach Dehradun by 1:55 pm, facilitating swift travel between the two cities.
The flight from Dehradun to Amritsar will depart from the Uttarakhand capital at 12:00 noon, reaching its destination at 1:10 pm. Subsequently, the return journey from Amritsar to Dehradun will commence at 1:35 pm, arriving at 2:45 pm, allowing seamless connectivity between these prominent cities.
For the Dehradun-Varanasi route, flights will depart from Dehradun at 9:50 am and reach Pantnagar at 10:35 am before proceeding to Varanasi, where they will land at 1:00 pm. The return flight from Varanasi will depart at 1:40 pm, arriving at Pantnagar by 3:25 pm, and finally reaching Dehradun at 4:35 pm.
This enhanced connectivity is expected to boost tourism, pilgrimage, and business travel between Dehradun and these three prominent Indian cities.
