Fear Grips Dehradun Residents as Guldar Strikes Again; Police and Forest Department on High Alert

The regions of Rajpur and Raipur in Dehradun are currently grappling with the terror imposed by the notorious Guldar, making it increasingly difficult for residents to venture out of their homes. Continuous efforts from the police and forest department teams are underway, deploying traps in various locations to capture Guldar, but the elusive character continues to outsmart them. Local inhabitants express concerns not just during the night but also in broad daylight, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area.

Recent Attacks: The distress in the region heightened after Guldar’s brutal attack on a child, causing significant injuries. The child was fortunately in the company of friends who raised an alarm, compelling Guldar to flee the scene. Prior to this incident, Guldar had orchestrated the kidnapping and murder of a child in the Rajpur area, intensifying the prevailing sense of terror.

Escalating Fear: The photographs of Guldar spotted in Mayur Vihar, Dehradun, have contributed to the growing fear among residents. District Forest Officer (DFO) Vaibhav Kumar acknowledges the heightened concern and reveals that teams have been formed to address the situation. Two doctors have been stationed both in the morning and evening, while special orders for tranquilizing Guldar have been issued. An expert has been assigned for the task, and approximately 40 cameras have been strategically placed across the area, with additional traps and cages installed to ensnare Guldar.

Government Response: In response to these incidents, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a keen interest, actively seeking reports on the ongoing situation. Specialized teams, consisting of 12 members each, have been established to tackle the crisis. The deployment of teams, coupled with the installation of nearly 40 cameras and traps, demonstrates the government’s commitment to capturing Guldar.
