He played a power drum and conch shell during these rituals and performed an ‘aarti’ at the Shiva-Parvati temple, which is located along the banks of Parvati Kund in Jolingkong. Following this, he sought blessings and meditated briefly in front of the Adi Kailash peak, a sacred place associated with Lord Shiva.

The day’s events were more than just spiritual and public engagements. PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 4,200 crore in Pithoragarh.
