Search operation went on overnight to find the youth
Tiger had attacked three youths near Panod drain in Ramnagar last evening. According to the information, two youths managed to escape after saving their lives, but one of their companions got trapped. The tiger dragged him from his jaws and took him inside the forest. As soon as the information about the incident was received, along with the team of Corbett Tiger Reserve, the Ramnagar Forest Division and the police team started searching for the missing youth. A search operation was conducted overnight to find the youth, but he could not be traced.
After this, the search for the missing youth was started on Sunday morning. After this his body was recovered. Even before this, there have been three tiger attacks here. Keeping in view the security, joint patrolling is being done by Forest Department and Corbett Tiger Reserve on National Highway 309 from Garjia to Mohan. Not only this, the administration has prohibited the bike riders to pass through there from late evening till morning.
Tiger reserve team is tracing the attacking tiger
It is being told that the three youths who were attacked by the tiger were drinking alcohol while sitting on the edge of the forest. The forest department has also arrested both the youths who escaped safely in the tiger attack. In view of the ever-increasing attacks of tigers, the Forest Department has already imposed Section 144 there.
At the same time, according to the Forest Department, movement of more than four tigers has been found at that place. At present, the team of Corbett Tiger Reserve is tracing the attacking tiger.
