Almora Bus Accident: In a tragic accident in Uttarakhand’s Almora district, a bus carrying passengers from Garhwal to Kumaon lost control and fell into a deep gorge near Kupi village, resulting in the deaths of 20 people and injuring many others. The incident has prompted swift response from the state government, with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announcing financial aid and an investigation.

CM Dhami Announces Rs 4 Lakh for Families of Deceased, Orders Inquiry

Following the tragic bus accident in Almora, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed immediate relief efforts, pledging Rs 4 lakh for each bereaved family and Rs 1 lakh for those injured. Additionally, the CM ordered the suspension of ARTO enforcement officials in the regions of Pauri and Almora, stressing accountability. He also instructed the Commissioner of Kumaon Division to conduct a thorough magisterial inquiry into the cause of the accident to prevent such incidents in the future.
