Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived on Friday to inspect the flood affected areas of Haridwar. Along with declaring the flood affected areas of Laksar and Khanpur as disaster prone areas, he announced to waive electricity bills for three months. Apart from this, he also announced to postpone the loan installment of cooperative banks for three months. He also talked about requesting nationalized banks in this regard.
Earlier in Damkothi, Chief Minister Dhami held a review meeting with the officials regarding the damages and relief rescue in the flood-affected areas. During this, he said that a detailed drainage plan will also be prepared for waterlogging and flood affected urban and rural areas.
With this, Chief Minister Dhami said that treatment of the hill will be done to stop the debris coming from Mansa Devi mountain. Said that compensation will be given after assessing the loss of flood affected areas.
