Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the State Emergency Operation Center at the Secretariat on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, and took information from the officials regarding the heavy rains in Uttarakhand. CM Dhami has instructed SDRF teams including District Magistrates to be vigilant in view of heavy rains.
According to the report of news agency ANI, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “It has rained heavily in different parts of the state since the last 24 hours. A red alert has been issued for Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat for the next 24 hours. People are being rescued and shifted to safer places. He said that NDRF, SDRF and local teams are working.

From the Disaster Control Room located at the Secretariat, CM Dhami obtained information related to the situation of excessive rainfall and waterlogging while talking to the District Magistrate Rudraprayag, Pauri, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar over the phone. The Chief Minister instructed the concerned officials and the local administration for their smooth operation by taking immediate action in case of disruption in road, electricity, drinking water and other essential arrangements including food supply. CM Dhami said, our government stands firmly with the people of the state in every situation.
