Uttarakhand News: Four persons have died and three others have been injured in a terrible tragedy that happened close to Khirsu Chaubatta in the Pauri district of Uttarakhand. The tragedy happened while a family was travelling from Kathuli to Parsundakhaal for a wedding.
Rescue and Medical Assistance
After the disaster, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) moved quickly to carry out a rescue effort. The injured have been sent to the hospital right away to receive the care they need. For specialised care, two of the injured have been airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh.
Victims Identified and Initial Reports
The deceased include 18-year-old Srishti, 13-year-old Aarushi, 9-year-old Saumya, and the driver, Manwar. Among the injured are 14-year-old Sakshi, 15-year-old Sameeksha, and 11-year-old Sagar. Some media reports suggest that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. However, SDM Srinagar has emphasized that the exact cause of the accident will only be determined after a thorough investigation.
Series of Incidents
This regrettable tragedy in Pauri district is the second significant incident of the day. Ten persons were hurt when a Tata Sumo in Satpuli plunged into a deep ditch earlier. Yesterday, a tempo traveller fell into a canyon on the Rudraprayag stretch of the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway, resulting in the deaths of eight people.
